Bennett Trenchless provides full design services from feasibility studies through preparation of bid documents. Feasibility studies include evaluation of geotechnical data and site conditions to determine the most favorable construction method. We also provide preliminary design services, including recommending alignment, pipeline depths, construction methods, and pipe diameter. We conduct design calculations to identify and evaluate relative risks and develop risk avoidance and risk management strategies.
Final design services include the production of plans and specifications, contractor pre-qualification criteria, geotechnical baseline reports, calculations for pipe stress, pullback, hydrofracture risk, settlement risk, and jacking forces, project schedules, and cost estimates. The firm has conducted design reviews and served on value engineering panels at various levels of design (30%, 60%, and 90%). We identify fatal flaws, constructability, and recommend modifications to add value and reduce cost and risks.
